Day 84 - June 8, 2008
Today we drove up to Bend to go to the High Desert Museum. Our retired ranger friend we met at Crater Lake high recommended it. We were not led astray. It was a very well done museum. We went to these various exhibits: Birds of Pray, Homestead Ranch, Otter exhibit, Desertarium, Spirit of the West and several others. The Spirit of the West was like being back in the 1800's as our tour guide was really fabulous. Did you realized that when silver was discovered, the new traveled so slowly that the politicians didn't want all that money going to those Mormons so they cut Utah in half and created the state of Nevada.
