Day 83 - June 7, 2008
Today we had a short travel day to LaPine State Park. This park isn't as good as the last one - John Stewart State Park which was right on a lake - however it still beats private campgrounds. Our typical day starts with a walk around the campground, touring, and then ending the day with a great campfire. After we got set up we went to Newberry National Volcanic Monument. This was very nice - especially the Obsidian Flow which was a field of black glass (at least the part which wasn't hidden by the snow).
