Day 82 - June 6, 2008
Well in our 163 day Big Adventure Journey we have now past the halfway point. We made it our mission today to go back to Crater Lake and actually see the lake. We took our books and decided to sit in the lobby at the Lodge till hopefully the weather changed. We had the great opportunity to meet a retired Ranger Naturalist who worked at Crater Lake during his career. He was a wealth of information about the Lake and the Lodge. What a wonderful situation. Well, it was worth the wait as you will see we did finally get to see this awesome wonder. Words cannot describe it's beauty. Then we stopped along the way back and hiked the Natural Bridge trail and the trail to the two waterfalls below. OH my gracious, this was quite a wonderful, amazing day.
Oh by the way, we are sitting in a restaurant (The Crazy Norwegian in Port Orford, OR) trying to update our blog.

Crater Lake at last - isn't this incredibly awesome!!!

Crater Lake - note the snow flakes in the picture

Natural Bridge - water flow was so high that the bridge was covered - pretty big snowfall this past winter
