Day 78 - June 2, 2008
Today was a mini travel day from Redding, CA to Gold Hills, OR. It was really a breeze as it was all interstate except for about 3 miles. Miss Tom Tom behaved too and got us right to our destination. Along I-5 we got to see another part of Lake Shasta and also the magnificent Mt. Shasta. We almost had another disaster though in Medford, OR. As we were traveling along the interstate, a golf ball bounced on on highway in front of us. It looked like it was heading straight for the passenger windshield. Thankfully it bounced a few inches above the windshield. Oregon has a great park system based on the current park we are in. It's great to be out of the "concrete jungle" fancy parks and more in the forest where we can have our night time campfire.
