Day 76 - May 31, 2008
Today we went back to the Whiskeytown National Recreation Area and hiked the 3 mile Brandy Creek Falls Trail. Most of it was uphill but it was well worth it as you can see from the pictures below. It was spectacular. Then we went on the the Shasta Lake and Dam. Believe it or not, this is the 2nd largest dam in the US. Only the Grand Cooley Dam is larger. We thought the Hoover Dam would have been either first or second.

Part of the trail we hiked at Brandy Creek Falls. We had to cross the falls on this little bitty plank bridge (note there were no hand rails).

Were you hanging over the railing when you took that dam shot? I don't want to be opening the lockbox anytime soon. It seems everyday you all are getting to see something beautiful. I can't believe how fortunate you have been with the weather. Thanks for keeping us up to date.

PS Y'all should have dropped a line in that river. I bet there were some nice trout in there.
